Ixat is a new platform that aims to revolutionize the Portuguese market of remunerated individual transport of passengers in uncharacterized vehicles, the so-called TVDE.
Tiago Lousada and Elisabete Anjos Oliveira teamed up to create Ixat (upside down cab in portuguese), which according to the company's statement, “It is a startup and will debut in the beginning of this month of October with an innovative service in our country: The moto cab”.
The idea came up when, in 2021, Tiago Lousada “triangulated the difficulty of many customers to get a TVDE in the hustle and bustle of big cities with a possible solution”.
According to the entrepreneur, Ixat presents itself as the “only 100% Portuguese platform, also assuming itself as the most economical and the one that offers the greatest benefits for adherent drivers and that charges the lowest commission in the market, which allows us to increase the profitability of the drivers who serve us and charge users less”, he maintains.
Elisabete Anjos Oliveira, the other co-founder of Ixat, who is also a lawyer, this application is “simpler, faster and more sustainable” she argues.
For now, the total amount of investment has not been revealed, but the entrepreneurs guarantee that it is the only platform that provides motorcycles with a driver, with the Maxi Scooter and Tourism segments, most of them being 100% electric, our Green Go”.
The debut of the new mobility platform takes place with the motorcycle taxi and courier service that will operate in Lisbon, Porto and in the Algarve region, and should expand “gradually to all districts” of mainland Portugal.
Its presentation to the press will take place this Friday, October 7, at the headquarters of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE), in Porto.
